glove visited the ‘Brooklyn Superhero Supply Store’ in New York and was given a guided tour of the creative education room that the store funds. A really clever and funny idea executed brilliantly and has a great purpose that benefits the local community.

Anyone who has visited New York over the last 10 years or so will remember the iconic DKNY mural in Soho. It’s gone! Painted over with a brown Hollister ad for their next door store. Surely, the DKNY ad should have been protected?

glove visited the Obey exhibition at Deitch’s Soho gallery. Shepard Fairey is a very talented designer and self-promoter, but this exhibition made us feel that he’s on autopilot churning out portraits of his favourite cultural icons. Obey is most successful when it’s commented on and parodying advertising, brand communications and politics. The Obey 20 years book is worth checking out.
